Diagnosis
Male is similar to T. jeanneli by (a) all wings with 2-4 cross-veins in bridge spaces and 2-4 Cux, only rarely 1; (b) Fw arculus distal to Ax2; (c) Hw triangle of 2 cells, only rarely 1; (d) 12½-18½ Ax in Fw. However, differs by (1) ranging from Uganda to W Africa; (2) smaller size, Hw 21-27 mm; (3) Fw and often Hw with black subcostal streak, both are occasionally absent. Habitat description
Standing and mostly temporary waters shaded by forest. Especially pools flooded in stream beds, usually with coarse detritus and often a soft (like muddy) bottom. From 0 to 1500 m above sea level, but mostly below 700, although possibly even higher up.
